The Master created you out of parts scavenged and stolen, stitched and fused together with arcane sciences and forgotten magic. He gave you life, and all he asks in exchange is that you serve.

Incarnate Angel is a Belonging Outside Belonging game in which players work together to tell the story of a patchwork monster in a gothic horror world.  Rather than control individual player characters, players share control over a single character,  the Beast. As a group, you’ll explore the Beast’s attempts to understand their new existence and find a place for themself in a hostile world. Individually, each player is responsible for representing one of the Siblings, the contradictory identities that compose the Beast. Even when not actively controlling the Beast, the other Siblings are free to contribute, either by playing one of the setting elements or by speaking in character as part of the Beast’s internal dialogue.

Major touchstones for Incarnate Angel include classic works of gothic horror such as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Bram Stoker's Dracula as well as the roleplaying games of the World of Darkness line (particularly Promethean), My Life with Master by Paul Czege, and Bluebeard's Bride by Marissa Kelly (the Sisters are the central inspiration for the Siblings)

This is a playtest document, meaning that this is by no means a complete work. In order to play, you will need a copy of Avery Alder's Dream Askew, which covers the basic rules for playing and facilitating the Belonging Outside Belonging system. What you will find in this document is a collection of the five Sibling playbooks and six setting elements necessary to play this game of gothic horror. Purchasing it now will get you full access to any later in development editions of the game as well as the final release version.
